How to create calendar event from email in Outlook

With Text2Event Chrome extension it is very easy to convert your email into a calendar event!
This video demonstrates how to do it in Outlook Web.
1. Select text from an email with event details
- Open an email in Outlook Web that contains event information
- Highlight the text containing the event details (date, time, location, etc.)
2. Right click - Create calendar event from text
- Right-click on the selected text
- Choose Create calendar event from text from the context menu
3. Wait until calendar file is generated and downloaded
- Text2Event processes the selected text
- The calendar file (.ics) is automatically generated and downloaded
- You'll see the download in your browser's download bar
4. Switch to calendar tab in Outlook
- Click on the Calendar icon in Outlook's left navigation
- This opens your calendar view
5. Drag and drop downloaded calendar file to calendar view
- Locate the downloaded .ics file in your browser's download bar
- Drag the file directly onto your Outlook calendar
6. Event import screen will appear
- Outlook will show an import dialog
- Review the event details before importing
7. Select calendar to import event to and hit import button
- Choose which calendar you want to add the event to
- Click the Import button to confirm
8. All done!
- It is left to verify the event details
- Share the event with anyone you want
- Your calendar event is now ready to use!
