This Privacy Policy explains how text2event.com ("we," "us," or "our") handles your information when you use our service.
2. Information We Collect
Input Data: When you use our service, you provide natural language text describing calendar events.
Account Data: If you create an account, we collect and store your email address, display name, and subscription status.
Technical Data: We may collect basic technical information such as:
- IP address
- Timezone
- Locale
- Browser type
- Access times
- Error logs
3. How We Use Your Information
AI Processing: Your input text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate ICS calendar files.
Service Operation: Technical data is used to operate and improve the service.
4. Data Storage
We do not store:
- Your input text descriptions
- Generated ICS calendar files, except as described below
- Personal information from your calendar events
What happens to your input data:
- Input is forwarded to Anthropic's Claude API
- Processed in real-time
- Not retained by us after processing
Download links: if you request an .ics download link, the generated file is held in a private store under a random name and automatically deleted after 2 days.
Usage records and logs: a technical record of each request (time, IP address, country, browser, outcome, account ID and email if signed in) is kept for up to 90 days. Operational server logs are kept for 30 days. Neither contains the text you submit.
Account data we store: If you have a registered account, we retain your email address, display name, and subscription status for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by contacting info@text2event.com.
5. Third-Party Services
Anthropic (Claude API):
- Your input data is processed by Anthropic's Claude API
- Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy: https://www.anthropic.com/privacy
- Anthropic may temporarily process and log data according to their policies
Clerk (Authentication):
- Account sign-up, sign-in, and session management are handled by Clerk
- Clerk stores your email address, name, and authentication credentials on our behalf

Paddle (Payment Processing):
- Subscription payments are handled by Paddle, our authorised reseller and merchant of record
- Paddle collects and processes billing information (card details, billing address) directly — we do not store your payment data

Google (Calendar API):
- When you connect your Google account, we use Google OAuth to create and edit calendar events on your behalf via the Google Calendar API
- Google user data (including OAuth tokens and any calendar data accessed) is used solely to perform the calendar actions you request within the app
- We do not share, transfer, or disclose Google user data to any third parties, including Anthropic — your input text is processed by Anthropic separately from your Google account data
- Google user data is not used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to creating and editing calendar events as directed by you

Other service providers:
- Amazon Web Services: hosting, database and file storage (United States)
- Resend: sending transactional and product email
- Google Cloud Speech-to-Text: transcribing audio you submit for voice input

6. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect data during transmission. However, no internet transmission is completely secure.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data:
- Access to information we hold
- Correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion of your data
- Objection to processing
For account data (email, name, subscription status), you can request access, correction, or deletion by contacting info@text2event.com. Input data is never stored, so data access requests do not apply to it.
8. International Data Transfers
Our infrastructure is hosted in the United States, and your data may also be processed in other countries where our service providers operate, including the countries where Anthropic operates its services. For users in the EU, UK or Switzerland, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Children's Privacy
Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Cookies
We may use essential cookies for service functionality. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
11. Changes to Privacy Policy
We may update this policy at any time. Changes are effective upon posting.
12. Google API Limited Use Policy
The use of raw or derived user data received from Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
